Types of dental braces - Bangalore

Types of dental braces

Nowadays braces won't’ surprise anyone. It is believed that the first braces came into existence at the beginning of the last century. The American orthodontist named Edward Engel invented it. Of Course, the very first braces were significantly different from the modern products.

What is Dental Braces ?

Generally braces are removable orthodontic appliance. This device is typically attached to the outer or inner surface of the teeth. Each bracket has its own individual program, according to which is determined by the direction in which to straighten teeth. Each bracket is attached to the tooth besides arcs. This arc is the main source of power that allows to move the necessary teeth using braces. In addition to this efforts have been made to create special orthodontic rings, metal springs, buccal locks and elastic chains.

Generally, there are six types of braces they are
  • Metallic Braces
  • Ceramic Braces
  • Sapphire Braces
  • Lingual Braces
  • Titanium Braces
  • Invisible Braces
Metal braces

The most popular types of braces are perhaps the metal braces. These braces are valued primarily for their reliability, availability and functionality. These types of braces are suitable for both children and adults and adolescents. Most people with generally preferred color options.

The main advantages of these braces is that they are very strong, they are very difficult to break. At the same time they are pretty cheap. In addition, dark ligatures, which are used with metallic staples is not stained and do not change the color of teeth. With such braces duration of treatment is usually less. At the same time they do not cause severe pain.

Ceramic braces

Ceramic braces are made of high-tech glass and therefore is also quite strong. They are good because they are almost invisible to others. In general, with regard to the advantages of this type of braces, first of all, In comparison with metal braces, they have more aesthetic appearance and is much less noticeable. In addition, ceramic braces are more comfortable.

Sapphire braces

Sapphire braces are usually made of sapphire, which have been grown artificially. These braces are strong enough and have a high efficiency. Furthermore, sapphire is transparent structure and therefore almost negligible. However, they usually do not stain from food. Among the few drawbacks is worth noting that these braces are quite expensive. In addition, sapphire braces need to periodically conduct a thorough oral hygiene.

Sapphire braces are suitable for people who have no serious problems with bite. Therefore they are not suitable for people who have severe malocclusion. These braces are made of durable plastic specific form that each patient is usually selected individually. Sapphire braces do not cause irritation of the gums and do not stain.

Lingual braces

Lingual braces are good that are installed on the inside of the teeth. And so they are generally invisible, but it is obvious that these braces are much more difficult to establish. Moreover, such systems are rather complicated to maintain. Staples for these braces are usually made of metal. To get used to them, usually it takes three to seven days. Also, This treatment is usually greater than with conventional braces. If the patient has short front lower teeth, they can not be used. Furthermore, they are used when there are serious problems with the bite. In addition, the braces for the treatment of such patients should be engaged specially trained orthodontist.

Titanium braces

Some people are allergic to nickel, so they braces made of traditional materials are not suitable and will have to make braces made of other materials, such as titanium. This material is very durable and lightweight. Titanium metal braces are similar to, but much more expensive.

Invisible braces

These braces longitudinally look aesthetically pleasing. Compared with conventional braces them much easier to care for. They are usually removed before drinking, food intake, and during brushing. Compared with fixed catheters, they cause much less pain. Moreover, such braces never appear stains. When using this type of braces, conducted computerized plan treatment. And it's even a forecast of future results. Due to the fact that these braces are removed, they are not permanently straighten teeth as other species. In general, these braces are recommended to be worn 20-22 hours a day, but in reality it all depends on the patient's habits.

A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and adjacent tissues. It is made of acrylic resin, sometimes in combination with various metals.Complete dentures replace all the teeth, while a partial denture fills in the spaces created by missing teeth and prevents other teeth from changing position. There are many reasons why patients may elect removable dentures versus implants, crowns, or bridges including, 1) more affordable and budget friendly, 2) quicker, 3) sometimes dentures are the more esthetic option. Patient may also elect dentures supported by implants for more stability and more force for chewing.

Types of dentures

  • Immediate : This removable denture is inserted on the same day that the remaining teeth are removed. Your dentist will take measurements and make models of your jaw during a preliminary visit. You don’t have to be without teeth during the healing period, but may need to have the denture relined or remade after your jaw has healed.

Dental Implants Surgery for Missing Teeth

Teeth are very important part of our personal look and life. They give us self-confidence and substantially they form a part of our quality of life. Teeth help us for full-value biting, pleasant smile, right and understandable expression and last but not least natural feeling.
Dental implant is a tooth loses treatment used to replace missing teeth for a look and feel that is natural.
The history of dental tooth implants dates back in early times. First mention about the ancestors of today’s classic implants had been in the period of ancient history. Archeologists found imitation of dental implants dating back in 1350 years.

Teeth implants can be placed into a hole left by a recently missed tooth or to teeth that have been missing for a longer time. Inserting one dental implant takes approximately 30 to 90 minutes. It is an outpatient procedure done usually in two phases. In the first phase an implant is inserted (popular is inserted into bone), the wound is sewed either with absorb able sutures that are not necessary to be taken out or by non-absorbable sutures that must be removed in 7 - 10 days. The implant is left to be healed in. The healing of the implant is important for creation of firm base for future replacement. In the upper jawbone it takes 6 months and in the lower jawbone 3 - 4 months. After this healing if there are no infections or irritations then the person can perform the second part of dental treat treatment that is dental implant procedure. It is made by cut into the mucosa in the place of the implant and insertion of temporary titanium or zirconium abutment that is already sticking out into the mouth. In approximately two weeks the gum in the surrounding of the abutment forms something like a cuff, which blocks the approach of microbes in the depth of implant. At that point the temporary abutment is replaced by final step. A tooth replacement such as bridge or crown can be then made on it almost look like the natural teeth.

For the replacement of one tooth, always one implant is needed, the same is needed for the support of a bridge. If the dental implant serves as an implant-supported denture, usually a minimum two for lower jaw and four for upper jaw implants are applied.

There are different approaches to place dental implants after tooth extraction. The approaches are:
1.      Immediate post-extraction implant placement.
2.      Delayed immediate post-extraction implant placement (2 weeks    to 3 months after extraction).
3.      Late implantation (3 months or more after tooth extraction).

Same as by all surgical procedures also implant placement is to a certain level connected with some health risks, they arise very rarely though. If they occur it is necessary to treat them. Those are:
•        Infection in the implantation wound
•        Damage of surrounding tissue (remaining teeth, blood vessels and nasal cavity)
•        Damage of surrounding nerve endings that cause pain and tingling in the treated area
•        Problems with cavities (if the implants are placed in the upper jaw very close to these structures)

Indian dentist offers low cost dental implant with highly technological infrastructure same as in USA, UK and Europe. Indian dentists use zirconium instead of titanium or other metals to fix teeth.  Zirconium is a low allergic material as well as a proven high level of benefited in dental industry.
Dental solutions Bangalore provide effective and pocket friendly dental implant surgery and other dental treatments.
